I played this course for the first time today and was pleasantly surprised with the great condition of …. everything! The greens were absolutely gorgeous. Smooth surfaces, reasonably fast, lots of slopes and undulations making putting interesting, but not punishing. The fairways were cut nicely, the rough wasn’t horrible but still enough you wanted to stay out of it. I didn’t note any soft, muddy spots anywhere in the fairways. Just all around great conditions. The carts were Yamaha gas carts, brand spanking new on the day I played. So quiet and a nice smooth ride. Even the cart paths, which are asphalt, were decent shape. The only bumps were from some tree roots. This is one of if not the nicest municipal golf courses I’ve ever played. Prices, for this area are more than reasonable too. They offer senior discounts plus they sell 10 pack or 25 pack discount cards saving a little cash. The 10 pack saves 10% and the 25 pack saves 20% on the rack rate. Weekdays rates are cheaper than weekend rates by the way. I thoroughly enjoyed my round which took 4:10 minutes start to finish, with an 11:12 tee time. I’ll definitely be back. In fact I’m pretty sure I’ll buy one of their multi-round

Beautiful course featuring fairly wide fairways and few hazards. Course is kept in great condition and stays mostly dry in the winter

Nice huge leave surrounded by a wailing trail. There are plenty of inlets to picnic some with tables some you can add a hammock. There is a beach area sectioned off for swimming sand grass trees with shade or without. They also have restrooms that are clean sand well maintained. You can kayak or paddle board here to o. I’m not sure about small boats we didn’t see any.

It’s an excellent choice for both local players and visitors seeking a memorable golfing experience, provided they’re prepared for a leisurely round.

Lake Padden is one of my go to places to play in the spring/summer and fall. The course is pretty well maintained during those months. The staff are awesome and definitely enhance the experience. The practice facility is one of my favorites to help me think that I am getting better. Top notch putting green, chipping area is great and the range is probably one of the largest in the area. Overall it is one of my favorite places to play, that being said I do think that twilight and winter rates could be better. Other than that, I highly recommend getting a round in at one of my favorite courses in the Bellingham area!
